My name is James.

Life changed forever when I came out as a Trans man two years ago at the age of 18. And now I need your help changing it one more time. I need top surgery.

I have felt the wrongness of my body every day since I was a child, and it's been a hard road since I've come out. Through homelessness and hardships I have cherished the ability to live with honesty.

 But I have only made it this far from the support of people around me. If I can get this surgery, it will be the end of the last big obstacle in the way a life that is truly mine. The Alberta government has made it substantially more challenging to get top surgery through provincial channels. Faced with a four year waitlist, I have turned to Florida for an answer. I am working with a wonderful surgeon in Fort Lauderdale to bring my dreams to life. I want to live my life freely; I want to swim, I want the simple luxury of feeling a tee-shirt on my chest, and fr the first time I want to know my body the way it was meant to be.

The money I raise will go to the surgery, as well as flights, hotel, and food so me and a companion can get and exist in Florida for the ten days I need to be there.
