Jase wants to go to D.C.

Hi! My name is Tiffany and I've been married 18 years with a sweet 12 year old boy. I started this campaign for my son's trip to Washington D.C.

In 2010 Jase was diagnosed with Asperger's, now call Autism Spectrum Disorder. For those that don't know what that means: Jase struggles with social cues, though he wants to fit in and make friends, he doesn't have a filter sometimes. He lacks empathy for other people's feelings if he hasn't experienced the feeling yet, but when he understands he can be overly emotional. He doesn't eat certain foods because texture and the same with his blankets that he sleeps with. He is very intelligent with a great since of humor and sometimes that non filter is hilarious. Though Jase is very smart and exceed expectations educationally, school has always be rough on Jase.  But this year he started 7th grade, he turned a new leaf and is doing amazing!!! Jase is in his second year of band (he plays the Euphonium), its a slow process but he is catching on. He currently has All A's and 1 B He is in SUSO, Stand up and shout out, this group goes out into the community and finds problems that need to be fixed and work on getting it taken care of. This gives him motivation and drive to be a better person. Jase was moved to Pre-AP Social Studies 2 days after school started this year. Pre-AP SS is taking his class to Washington DC. If he makes this trip, it is counted has a history credit for when he enters high school in 2 years.

I am asking for help because of dental surgery that I have to have, it has wiped out any extra money we have. For Jase's portion of the trip is 2,000, because Jase has never been on a plan and never be this far without family near by, he wants his dad to go with him which is an added expense. The $4,300 covers everything, flight, food, hotel, and all the activities while they are there for 4 days. I do not want him to miss this trip of a life time because he has been working so hard.

I understand that not everyone can donate but just sharing on your page, may make a difference. Thank you for all of your time and donations. God Bless.
