JD's Shoe Repair Closing
The lights of our shop went out when Julie's son, Arthur Earl Derrick Jones, was ripped away from us on January 26, 2023. And now it is time to close the doors as well.
For over 15 years, our service has provided an integral thread in the quilt of this community. Sadly, for both practical and emotional reasons, we're now forced to move away from this model and forge a new path forward.
We're looking to our community to assist in one last fundraising push to help Julie, the shop family, and our passion for the craft persist in a new shape.
Your generous support will help in this transition by providing the funds required to rent a new studio space, transport machinery and materials, offset burdensome loans, and maintain the day-to-day expenses of this transition.
