The past 2 years since my dx with Inherited Retinal Dystrophy (IRD) have been wild! My world has been changing rapidly. It can be utterly terrifying at times! Technology has become such a saving grace as I learn to navigate with progressively less sight & increasing visual disturbances. Through learning, connecting, & advocating, I've grown tremendously! I'm now using a white cane, learning braille, and using a large electronic magnifier to name a few updates.

I've chosen the very best version of "smart glasses" that I've found, that were actually created for people with vision loss! It's super exciting! I'm so blessed to have started receiving community assistance with funding, but I'm here to ask for your help too! Each & every bit helps! These glasses will be tailored to me! My rx with added sun (& light) protection will be cut & added when the frames come in. The frame includes a computer in 1 arm, a camera, partners with my phone & earbud (or headset) when I choose! It will read to me, do color recognition, store endless faces & recognize them for me (*a huge 1 since I can't see them!), use an AI companion, look things up online, & answer questions! They do 19 things in total, plus the AI capabilities!!! Please help me cover the cost of my Envision glasses (& lenses), virtually sharing your gift of sight! Thank you SO much! 🤟🤓😎
