Jeremy Garrett is a local face to the Tulsa theatre community and has lived in Muskogee, Ok. most of his life. He is a type 1 diabetic and in need of a Kidney and Pancreas transplant. In May 2024 Jeremy suffered a stroke, at this time the doctors could not determine what caused it or why he was sick. They just thought it was his diabetes and his kidney function was around 67% so not a huge concern. As he recovered and was planning to go back to work in August 2024 he found out he was in End Stage Renal Failure and was immediately put on dialysis. His kidney function was now at 11% and was considered critical. During this time his spouse was let go from her job, this also meant losing healthcare coverage, Jeremy found out that he would need to stay on dialysis and undergo tests to see if he was a good candidate for a dual kidney and pancreas transplant and he and his wife have been undergoing training for home dialysis and traveling to different transplant centers to begin that process. While doing this his wife has been unable to find work as she is his caretaker full time, but the state of Oklahoma does not offer caregiver assistance. They have been living off his 50% Long term disability and the help of family and friends, and church family. All donations will go directly to his medical and living expenses.

Our wonderful Theatre Community in Tulsa has decided to throw a fundraiser to help with the mounting costs of everyday life. There will be information forthcoming on this event as well for anyone who would like to come and see the show. Jeremy will also be acting in this show, sadly this was the show he was originally in and had to give up due to having that stroke in May, that week also happened to be opening week so he will finally be getting to play the character he was so looking forward to playing.

The Barnstormers of Space is a fun, family friendly show that will make everyone laugh. All proceeds will be going directly to The Garrett Family for medical bills and other expenses. The Broken Arrow Community Playhouse is graciously hosting the show and tickets prices are set to any donation amount of your choosing. We will also be selling raffle tickets for a beautiful handmade quilt donated by a giving individual.
