Welcome to our fundraising page! Joel and I have been a part of an amazing organization for 3 years called Hope for Kenya. We will be going together this February, 2018 and need your help in sponsoring us! My first mission trip was in Kenya about 3 years ago. I didn't really know what to expect, I just had the idea that I would be changing the overall outcome of these children's lives. Little did I realize, these same children would end up changing my life as well. You can ask my husband, I include at least one conversation about Kenya a week! He decided he wanted to go with me this trip so he can help with building projects and he also feels called to serve in this area. - It is our mission to devote our lives to help people from all walks of life.We will be going with my church back in NY “Church of the Nations” who have been pouring into Kenya specifically for 14 years. This is a special trip for us as we will be meeting our little girl for the first time who we sponsor. Her name is Joy Jael, and she is 7 years old. Joys' mother separated from her father after he infected her with aids. Susan, her neighbor took Joy in after her mother died even though she already had three kids of her own. Recently, Susan became very ill so she was not able to take care of Joy for much longer. While being there we will be able to see her everyday, buy anything she needs at the markets, and teach at the school she is attending! Hope for Kenya has accomplished so much in all of our building projects, health needs, travel, education, etc. and its all been because of YOU! This trip we will not only be able to see Joy, but also continue more building projects, teaching, and helping aid the nursing station where we provide all of their medical essentials. We need as much help as we can get from our family and friends to sponsor us for this trip. We have to raise $3000 by January 2018. Sometimes mission trips seem very much impossible.
