Hello and welcome to my life-changing, personal reivention fundraiser!

My name is Joe Shoemaker, living in Portland, Oregon with my amazing wife, April, and my beautiful and talkative tabby, Kitty.

We rest humbly in our 119 year old home, which was once a warm, bustling place of business before Covid and the ever-arching lockdowns.

I have been supporting thousands of clients over the last 8 years as a healer, our home an oasis of calm for legions of tired, stressed and overwhelmed people. This work of extending care is incredibly gratifying.

And, one day, my entire business came to a grinding halt.

Covid and the lockdowns turned my life upside down.

I went from seeing 20 people a week to zero. And, while some clients opted to see me remotely, the revenue loss has been devastating. I've had to become very creative in earning money these last 10 months. Luckily, and honestly, I'm grateful our mortgage is in forebearance. That has helped so much. Yet, what happens when it comes due? Am I well positioned to provide security for my family?

DEEP REFLECTION

With an excess of time on my hands, I took many hours to reflect on my professional life. What worked? What didn't? What season of my career am I in? Do I need to reinvent myself?

I realized I was tired in my bones. My hands were worn out, my body was sore. I had worked 6 days a week for years to stay afloat. I loved my work, but I had no space within it. I rarely took vacations because my business hinged on my labor hours. In reflection, this is not the life I want to continue living. There is a better way to for me to serve humanity.

MONUMENTAL SHIFT -MY SEASON OF REIVENTION

I decided that I needed a monumental change and after years of dabbling I'm ready to step into my biggest work yet. Both as a way to increase my impact and to open many more opportunities to earn money.

I'm here today to ask for your help in funding my huge transformation into a career as a Professional Certified Coach.

I'm here to help people to step into their greatest potential. To recreate themselves. To breakthrough their limits. To become the leader and role model they've always dreamed of. It's clear that we're a part of a reckoning right now on earth and I want to be a leader of positive change.

Becoming a coach is likely one of the most important steps I can take as a steward of this new world that's arising.

NEXT STEPS

I have self-studied coaching for years through free trainings, books, and short workshops. But, I am lacking a key and necessary credential - a Certified Professional Coach.

This distinction is vital in an unregulated coaching industry as it proves my mastery through an international review board.

Plus, this designation opens my work to many potential clients seeking a certified coach.

THE PROGRAM

After countless hours of comparison, it's clear that The Awaken Your Life Master Coach Certifcation Program, facilitated by Andrea Leda, is the preeminent training the world over. This is a 200-hour professional curriculum.

The program is so robust it exceeds the requirements needed for professional certification by the IFC, International Federation of Coaches.

Andrea Leda, the founder of the program is impeccable as a guide and teacher. Her track record and commitment to upholding the tenets of coaching is unparalleled. I whole-heartedly trust her to guide me to being a stellar coach.

LOGISTICS

The program is immersive, spans 10 months and features a small cohort for accelerated learning.

It begins at the end of this March.

I feel confident that with my natural networking skills and master credentialing that I'll be well positioned to fill my coaching practice by the end of the year.

I'm raising money both for the cost of tuition and for living expenses during the immersive program.
