Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted supporters,

We are creating this fundraiser to support Johnjohn Gibo, who is facing one of the toughest challenges of his life—a diagnosis of cholangiocarcinoma (bile duct cancer).

Johnjohn currently lives in Louisville, Kentucky, and while he is focused on treatment and taking things one day at a time, the impact of this diagnosis reaches far beyond medical care. Like many people fighting cancer, the day-to-day realities—both emotional and financial—add up quickly.

Through it all, Johnjohn continues to face this journey with a remarkably positive attitude, grace, and determination. He is someone who naturally puts others at ease—able to connect deeply with people from all walks of life, backgrounds, and experiences. Whether talking with longtime friends or complete strangers, Johnjohn has a way of listening, relating, and making people feel seen. Even now, he meets this challenge with openness, humor, and humanity that leave a lasting impression on everyone around him.

The funds raised through this campaign will help give Johnjohn greater flexibility and peace of mind during this time. Support may allow him to travel to Texas for specialized treatment, travel to Hawaii with his son to spend meaningful time with family, and help cover travel costs for loved ones to visit him from Hawaii. Funds will also help with everyday support, such as groceries, household help, and other daily needs, so Johnjohn can conserve his energy and focus on what matters most—making memories, maintaining quality of life, and spending as much time as possible with his son.

Johnjohn is a devoted father, and one of his greatest hopes is to continue doing more of the simple but meaningful things with his child—sharing experiences, being present, and creating moments that will last far beyond this season.
