Johnny's Recovery
Johnny is the 26-year-old son of my building’s guard, Guadalupe—a woman I am very close with and who has always treated me like family. Six months ago, Johnny was diagnosed with an aggressive form of leukemia. Thanks to the generosity of blood donors, he was able to receive the bone marrow transplant he so desperately needed.
Now Johnny faces his next hurdle: recovery. The most urgent priority is protecting him from infection as his immune system rebuilds. He has already spent weeks in isolation and will remain there as he heals. To make this possible, he needs his own safe, clean space—complete with 100% new hypoallergenic sheets, blankets, pajamas, clothes, body care supplies, eating utensils, and other essentials.
Guadalupe and I are asking for your help to give Johnny the best possible chance at survival and healing. Every contribution, no matter the size, will make a real difference for Johnny and his family during this critical time.
From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for your kindness and generosity.
