Jon & Michelle Support

We are Jon and Michelle’s church family and friends, and we want to rally around them in a tangible way during one of the hardest seasons of their lives.

Jon has been battling Lymphoma, and his doctors have recommended a stem cell transplant as the next significant step toward pushing the cancer into further remission. This is a major procedure — Jon will be hospitalized for 3–4 weeks, followed by several weeks of close monitoring and recovery nearby. All told, he will be off work for a minimum of three months.

While Jon will receive some support through Colorado’s FAMLI program, it will only cover 60-65% of his regular salary — and won’t touch the additional expenses that come with a treatment like this: gas and travel costs for Michelle to be by his side, meals, childcare, and the many unexpected costs that pile up when life gets put on hold.

Here’s where your gift goes:

Every dollar donated goes directly to Jon and Michelle to help bridge the gap between what insurance and state benefits cover and what their family actually needs during these three months. Your generosity means Jon can focus entirely on getting well, and Michelle can focus on being with him and caring for their children — without the weight of financial stress on top of everything else.

What the community is already doing:

Their church family is organizing meals. Michelle has lined up help with childcare and arranged for people to be present with Jon and the kids throughout the treatment. This fundraiser is one more way the people who love Jon and Michelle are showing up. If you can’t be there in person, this is how you can be there.

Jon is set to be admitted around April 1st at Anschutz Hospital in Denver. Your support right now means the world.

Thank you for standing with Jon and Michelle.
