My brother whom is medically unable to work because of his numerous surgeries on his feet needs funding for a place to live with his family. He's applied for disability & is in the process of & waiting for a court date for a judge's approval, which can take up to a full year. In the meantime, they are about to lose their house they are renting & have to be out by the end of September of this year. His long time partner is on disability & she can't work. They have one son. They can't make ends meet to keep living where they are. They've been looking & housing is very limited & very expensive & haven't had any luck finding affordable housing. They have tried every avenue possible with no luck. The waiting list for affordable housing is two years or longer. They are working with their local county officials also.
