Journey to Independence
Psalm 32:8
“I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will counsel you with my loving eye on you.”
My name is Julia, and on July 26, 2026, I will be graduating from The Homestead in Salina, Kansas — a faith-based safe house for women who have survived trafficking.
This program has helped me rebuild my life spiritually, emotionally, and physically. During my time here, I have undergone several surgeries, including a torn rotator cuff and bicep repair, cataract surgeries, and a torn meniscus repair. Because of the surgeries and recovery time, I have been unable to work consistently while in the program.
As graduation approaches, I am preparing to relocate and begin a brand-new chapter of my life. I will be attending school to pursue a career as an esthetician. While I am actively looking for work, it has been difficult finding temporary employment with only two months remaining before graduation, especially with a large gap in my employment history and the challenges that come with rebuilding life in recovery.
I am asking for help with the many expenses involved in starting over, including:
• Moving supplies
• Van/truck rental
• Gas and mileage expenses
• Rental application fees
• Membership/setup fees
• Pet deposit
• Rental deposit
• First month’s rent
• Basic necessities for rebuilding my life
Any donation, prayer, or share would mean so much to me. Every contribution helps me move one step closer to stability, independence, and the future God is leading me toward.
Thank you for believing in me and supporting my journey of recovery, healing, and restoration.
