Just Little Women is not your mother’s Little Women. Unless your mother played bass in a feminist garage band, cried in the deli aisle mid-breakup, and once tried to kiss her best friend during a blackout.

This punk rock musical reimagines the March sisters as 20-somethings tangled in ambition, grief, and girlhood. It’s Meg’s choice to start a family. It’s Amy chasing fame across the country. It’s Beth slipping away too soon. And it’s Jo—rage-writing, mistake-kissing, and trying like hell to hold it all together.

Set against engagement parties, funerals, LA gigs, and Bowery dive bars, Just Little Women is about growing up, breaking down, and making something beautiful anyway. It’s for anyone who’s ever loved too much, lost too much, and still picked up the mic.

Produced by Space Cowgirl Productions, Just Little Women is exactly the kind of messy, tender, and loud story we were made to tell. Our company is dedicated to crafting authentic stories about queer, mentally ill, neurodivergent, and youthful women—while keeping it funny, sharp, and full of heart. We advocate for the uncommon ingenue, the unlikely love story, and the girls who never get cast as the lead. We believe in the outcasts, the weird cheerleaders, and the kids who are far too stubborn to quit when faced with rejection.

Written by Halley Platz in collaboration with Director Lauren Winnenberg, Just Little Women will debut at The Vino in November, in partnership with Sour Grapes Productions.
