Big corporations and chain stores have buried small businesses, queer, BIPOC, and women spaces, and local events. Hit the Town changes that. We’re building a free, community-powered app that makes it effortless to discover what’s truly local — independent shops, community events, parks, and the people who make your town feel like home.

No pay-to-play. Just people supporting people. And we’re going one step further: after the pilot year, we will turn volunteer hours into redeemable points that can be used at participating local businesses — creating a local economy built on contribution, not just consumption.

Not only will you be able to experience your own hometown better, but you'll be able to experience the places you visit like a local.

We’re crowdfunding instead of chasing investors so Hit the Town can stay free, accessible, and owned by the community it serves. Every dollar goes directly into building the platform, supporting local outreach, and keeping access open for everyone. The goal is to launch by August, which will be possible if we reach our goal! It's time to put our financial power back into our communities!
