Ka Ying Lee Vang, 69, passed away on May 9th 2023 with her family by her side after a brief struggle with illness. She was born in Sayaboury, Laos on November 4th 1953 to Ntxheb Vang and Wa Tou Lee. During the Vietnam War she and her husband sought refuge in the UN camps of Thailand. In July of 1987, she immigrated to the US and settling in Sheboygan, WI with her husband and her young children with nothing but the clothes on their backs. 

Ka was a driven individual who taught herself English, learned how to drive, and put herself through school at Lakeshore Technical College earning her Certified Nursing Assistant certificate. She worked for many years as a CNA at several local nursing homes caring for the elderly and as a teacher assistant at Early Learning Center caring for the young. She was a loving caring person who always gave herself to help anyone who asked. She was never too busy to listen to anyone's problems and would often call just to say hello and tell us that she missed us and loved us. She was a beautiful soul that will truly be missed. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters Pai and Mee, and her husband, Kia Zang Vang. She is survived by 4 children, Thao Seng (Mai Ngia), Thao Mee (Willie), Hue (Blia), and Mai (Chou) as well as 16 grandchildren. A traditional Hmong celebration of life ceremony will be held at the Hmong Cultural Service Center 1224 Weeden Creek Rd, Sheboygan, WI on June 17th and 18th, 2023 and burial on the morning of June 19th at Wildwood Cemetery. The Reinbold-Novak Funeral Home in Sheboygan is assisting the family with the funeral arrangements. The family has asked that in lieu of flowers, donations are sent to help cover funeral expenses.
