Sweet Kalani Grace and her family would appreciate help! This little girl is a warrior princess- Born with Hypoplastic Left Heart, she's already been through a handful of open heart surgeries, has suffered cardiac arrest, seizures, a brain bleed, blood clots, and more. And she's STILL fighting! Her mama Emily and daddy Cody, and big brother had to get an apartment near Oklahoma Children's hospital, hours from home, but dad still has to spend most days each week at home working. GiGi moved in to help, but also works full time. Mom is balancing raising a toddler, being at the hospital to advocate for her baby girl and feeling the financial struggles of leaving her job to be with her baby. Kalani is a fighter but still has a very long road ahead of her before they can even consider discharge. With HLHS, even after discharge, there will be continual follow up appointments, requiring frequent trips back to OKC and another surgery in a couple years. As you can imagine, having a medically fragile baby, hospital bills, two places of residence, a single income, transportation between home and OKC, etc, costs have added up quickly.
