Japanese and Asian culture is a growing passion of Kalena's. This summer 2023, she has the opportunity to travel throughout Japan for an imersive experience with her Japanese language class. Their itinerary includes Kyoto, Nara, Osaka, Tokyo and Yokohama, with visits to temples, monuments of cultural significance, youth hostel lodging and a possible homestay.

Kalena has worked hard to maintain an A in her Japanese language class at Lincoln high-school, and shines as one of the top students in her grade. Kalena is a poised and committed young woman, and is ready to see the world as an ambassador and example of good will and global community.
