Dear friends, family, and community,

This past weekend Kate was driving home when two coyotes suddenly ran in front of her truck forcing her to swerve into a tree. Her truck is totaled, and she spent several days in the hospital with a broken rib and ankle/heel, which will require surgery.

We are beyond grateful that she is alive, but these injuries have left her facing significant physical and financial challenges. She will need extensive medical care, surgery, and rehabilitation in the coming months. As a pet caretaker and dog walker, her injuries have made it impossible for her to work, and without her truck, she is unable to continue her job. She will need several months to heal.
