Let’s keep Katrina & Simon’s baby healthy!

Dear friends and family,

Katrina and Simon are expecting their little bundle of joy in July.

What a joyous blessing for this little family! Katrina, Simon and Ali are doing all they can to prepare for this baby. Several of us friends and family are starting this crowdsourcing to help them pay for unanticipated medical costs. Can you please help support them?

So far baby is well, growing, kicking, dancing and doing somersaults. To make sure baby stays healthy, Katrina’s doctor wants to monitor the pregnancy more closely, so she is going to a prenatal specialist for what they consider a high-risk birth, and baby will be delivered by cesarean.

Katrina’s health insurance has high copays for this specialty care ($200 per visit and twice as many visits, plus frequent ultrasounds and testing at $400-600 each). The cesarean birth will also have added costs, they expect several thousand. Katrina will also have lost wages from 8 weeks off work following a surgical birth.

We know and love these sweet people. Their kindness and compassion extends way beyond their family. We think you, like us, want to hold them in this same caring way, and support them as they start this wondrous next chapter in their family.
