Katy Islamic Academy Flood
I am a parent of a 4 year old who goes to Katy Islamic Academy (preschool). I also work for the related Houston Quran Academy (K-12).
Katy Islamic Academy is a licensed childcare facility and Montessori school for toddlers-Kindergartners in Katy, Texas.
Our preschool was devastated by the widespread flooding during Hurricane Harvey. You can see our preschool is under 4-5 feet of water, and water levels are still rising. We are still unable to access the property to assess the damage. You can also see upclose video footage of the flooded property. Here is video footage from the Baker Road.
I started this crowdfunding campaign to help rebuild the school, restore our classrooms, and replace the Montessori materials our preschool uses. You can also donate via Paypal or credit card and mention Katy Islamic Academy.
Our little students just started school on August 15. Please support us in helping them return to normal lives. We have all been impacted by Hurricane Harvey, and every little bit helps.
