Kayla and Corey's Journey
Hello, my name is Tiffany Manix. My Best Friend just had her babies today 7/20/19, at a time where it's supposed to be smiles and carefree thoughts, there is worry and uneasiness because the twins were born 12 weeks early!
I always knew Kayla (Aunie, as my children would call her) would be an amazing mom...one of the best. I know this is true for two reasons. 1. Because of the person she is, her soul is pure and honest. She is one of the kindest people I know. 2. Because I watched her with my own children...she is a natural. Kids, it's all we ever talked about, and it was a dream of hers to someday become a Momma.
Here we are, her dream came true!
Kalya and Corey are still choosing names for the babies because the girls decided to come so soon.
Baby A was 2lbs 12oz, 14.37" long, born at 4:32 AM

Baby B was 1lb 15oz, 13.189" long born at 4:33 AM

The twins were born at 28 weeks 4 days
Kayla developed twin to twin transfusion syndrome (TTTS), TOTS, and sIUGR at 26 weeks and had surgery to separate the placenta and vessels. Her surgery was successful! Yay! If she didn't have the surgery, there was a chance that both twins wouldn't make it. One twin was giving everything to the other twin so they were not growing at the same rate.
Kayla woke up early this morning to her water breaking.
They were hoping for the babies to stay in a little longer to ensure their health, but the twins had other plans. The babies were sent to another hospital where they can get the care they need to grow strong and healthy.
The hospital is not near where Kayla and Corey live, so they will be doing a lot of traveling until the babies are ready to make their trip home.
I set up this account to help relieve some stress in their lives, especially when stress and worry are very high. Please consider helping Kayla and Corey on their journey of parenthood. Prayers are welcomed.
Thank you!
