Keep the lights on
Tomorrow, my family's power will be shut off - just 7 days before my two kids go back to school.
I'm a mom trying my best. I scraped together $225 and paid it on Friday, thinking it would buy us more time. The electric company said it wasn't enough. We still owe $460 to avoid disconnection.
I'm terrified. I just want my kids to be able to start the school year with lights on, with a hot meal, and a safe home to come home to.
