Keep Them Safe
My daughter, her two children, & her granddaughter moved two states over to begin a safer, healthy, stable life. She is a veteran & survivor of domestic abuse.
Unfortunately leaving doesn't always mean the difficult part is over. Her former partner continues to create obstacles as she works to make this transition.
For their safety, I am intentionally keeping their names, faces, current location, & details private. I know that makes this fundraiser a little different. I wish I could tell you more about her but, protecting her and her children has to come first.
What I can tell you is that she is the best mom & mema I have ever known. She's incredibly kind and beautiful, warm, inviting, and easy to talk to. Someone who creates community and doesn't hesitate to contribute what she can.
Someone who works hard everyday for her children & granddaughter, but misses not only the support of her family, but also the joy and celebration that once came with it.
We're raising money to help with the very real costs of getting a mother, a veteran and her little ones comfortable now that she has secured a safe & stable home.
We are praying she can get her car out of the shop this week. After two months & a few thousand dollars of repairs she can finally get to the grocery store.
Starting over is expensive. Donations will help with things like:
- Transportation Cost
- School Clothes
- Food and Necessities
- Blankets
- Possibly a Couch & Lamp
This isn't about funding a legal battle or publicly telling the story of what happened to her. It's about giving someone we love the practical resources she needs to move forward.
If you know me personally, I'm asking you to trust me when I say that this is real, the need is real, and your help will go toward making this transition possible.
Every contribution matters. $10 can cover a meal. $25 can help fill a gas tank. $50 can replace something they couldn't bring with them. Larger gifts can make a meaningful dent in car repairs and housing expenses. And if giving isn't possible, sharing this fundraiser with people you trust is enormously helpful too.
There is something especially powerful about a community quietly showing up for someone when they need it most.
Thank you for helping me make sure she doesn't have to do this alone. ❤️
For her safety and the safety of her children, identifying details, photographs, locations, and specific information about this move are intentionally being withheld. I am organizing this fundraiser on her behalf.
