While cutting grass, Kenneth cut three fingers trying to clear grass from one of the chutes. They treated him at the emergency room and referred him to a hand surgeon. The first visit to the hand surgeon revealed that his insurance from Florida had been cancelled. So all office visits have been paid for out of pocket. The surgeon would like to repair Kenneth's hand ASAP and is working with me to get this done. The surgical facility is requiring all monies be paid upfront to use their operating room. Because of this, his surgery had to be delayed as we try to secure the necessary funds and get him processed through the Medicaid system.
