On March 5th, my ex-husband/father of our son Ryan, had a major stroke leaving him with no feeling on his left side and slurred speech. He has a wife, son snd step son to care for. Throughout his stay at AGH, they discovered that he had 3 strokes at the same time and several mini strokes from the past. Ken was awake and alert and communicating but unable to eat so a feeding tube was inserted. He had issues with his BP rising and they had difficulty controlling it. On Monday, March 15, his wife, Sarah, received a call that throughout the night, Ken's lung collapsed, he had bleeding from his stomach, his BP dropped critically, and he was now on a ventilator. An MRI was performed and showed that since admission, he has had several more strokes. The bleeding was from ulcers in the stomach which they repaired. He also had a tear in his esophagus repaired. They found spots on his lungs and on his thyroid which they don't seem too concerned about. Ken has had 3 blood transfusions, several tests to rule out things such as Pneumonia and PE's, an angiogram, and several CT scans. CT of the legs was normal. Doctors need to perform a TEE but Ken is not stable enough. Please pray for HEALING. Please pray that the doctors find out the source of these clots. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Great Physician and He can do ALL things!! Ken's wife Sarah, has been by his side everyday from 11am to 8pm. I'm asking for financial assistance to help them with their medical bills, car, mortgage, insurance, school tuition and for anything that may come up while Ken is hospitalized. Sarah works part time and Ken has no benefits after a couple months. I believe that God is going to perform a miracle and that Ken will come through this. He is going to need ALOT of rehabilitation and personal care. He will have many appointments/follow ups as well.
