KEYS TO THE FUTURE
Helping the future generation of drivers build safe habits and the right mindset every time they get behind the wheel has always been a dream of mine and my Lady. Many believe that safe driving starts long before someone turns the key. It begins with awareness, responsibility, and respect for others on the road.
Our passion for this mission is personal. Like many people, we have experienced loss due to automobile incidents. We have lost three close friends, and we were also involved in a crash with a drunk driver while my wife was seven months pregnant, which resulted in the loss of our baby. These experiences shaped our perspective, but more importantly, they strengthened our commitment to save our future generation.
Many drivers develop habits that put themselves and others at risk. Distraction, impatience, and emotional driving have become far too common. As adults, we also set the example, often without realizing that younger drivers are learning bad habits directly from us.
That’s why we're raising funds to launch a new-driver graduate program. A 6-week, one-month course for teens and new drivers focused on developing a safe driving mindset. This program goes beyond driving lessons. We teach students how to stay calm under pressure, manage their time to avoid rushing, and practice courtesy and awareness on the road.
Students will gain hands-on driving experience with instructors on the road, who provide real-life guidance, while also learning the mortality factor and consequences of distracted or impaired driving. This course will focus on the psychology of safe driving, as well as teaching important life skills, such as how to communicate calmly and confidently during a traffic stop.
The Journey begins here: help for a better future for our new generation.
