My little brother is the smartest guy I know - he works at a lab that is genetically identifying cancer in patients before it grows, and he has just been through a terrible time in his life: the result is a hospital bill no one should have to pay in exchange for their own life.

Simply put, $13,000 is a small amount to pay for the fact this amazing man is still walking this earth, but it' not a price HE should have to pay. As my friends in other scientific fields can attest, these positions are underpaid, especially for students fresh out of college. Please, as an older sister who will do anything to ensure my brother's happiness, if you can donate to help erase these bills from his life, you would have my eternal and undying gratitude.

We are helping him apply for financial aid currently and are hoping an itemized bill will reduce the amount owed, but it is sure to still be an egregious amount when all is said and done. Any amount, however modest, will be appreciated and remembered.
