❤️‍🩹 Help Kim on Her Road to Recovery

Our family is asking for help during what has been one of the most frightening and difficult seasons of our lives.

My mom, Kim, was seriously injured in an accidental fire and suffered severe second- and third-degree burns. She is currently receiving care in the Burn ICU at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, where she is fighting incredibly hard to heal.

This journey is especially challenging because Kim already lives with preexisting medical conditions, including lupus and a blood clotting disorder. Despite everything her body has already been through, she continues to fight. She is strong, she is determined, and we truly believe she is going to pull through this.

Her recovery will be a long road. Once she is eventually released from the Burn ICU, she will still have extensive medical care, rehabilitation, follow-up appointments, wound care, and other needs ahead of her.

We are raising funds to help with medical bills, travel expenses, transportation, and the many unexpected costs that come with a long and difficult recovery.

As a family, asking for help isn’t something that comes easily to us. But right now, we want to be able to focus on one thing: Kim getting better. We don’t want financial stress to take away from the time and energy we need to be there for her.
