My husband found a litter of kittens that were in really bad shape. We have been nursing them back to health and they are doing really well. We have an appointment today to get one kitten's eyes removed and one kitten will have one eye removed. All other kittens will keep their eyes, with one kitten who will be blind in one eye. We had originally been working with our local vet hospital until we were recommended to a place that is more affordable, unfortunately we had already spent $1,200. The vet we are working with now is doing the enucleation for $700 and then we will need to get all kittens spayed, nurtured and chipped. We also have spoke to the home owner whose feral cat had the kittens and are working on paying for her to get spayed to prevent this from happening again. Thank you to everyone who is willing to donate. This has been a long, expensive journey. If there is any amount left over, it will all be donated to the rescue that has held our hands through this entire process. We are looking forward to starting our own rescue in the future as well.
