Kohler TK-8 Strike Fund
Every day educators are on strike, they lose $300–$500 in post-tax pay.
Despite this financial loss, they continue to stand up for their students, their classrooms, and the future of public education in our community.
Making the brave decision to advocate for better schools should not create a financial hardship for the educators leading this fight.
This strike fund helps offset lost wages so teachers and school staff can continue advocating for the resources students deserve. Your support helps sustain the people who dedicate their lives to supporting our children.
We strike together because:
- Twin Rivers receives $3,500 more per student than neighboring districts.
- The district remains one of the most fiscally sound in California.
- Over the past 6 years, $115 million meant for classroom teacher salaries has been diverted — about $19 million per year.
- These funds are mandated by Ed Code to be spent on classroom teacher salaries.
- This strike did not have to happen.
- The district only began responding after educators and the community demanded change.
- Our community is united in supporting students and educators.
This strike can end the moment the district commits to fully funding classrooms and addressing the needs of students and staff. We will stand strong until then! ✊📚
