Hello friends,
You might have been wondering where I’ve been! Well unfortunately, a few months ago, I was diagnosed with Stage 4 sinus cancer. It’s not operable or curable, and it’s taken a pretty big toll on me. I’ve lost my vision and gotten very weak, which means I’m not able to take care of myself or even handle basic day-to-day things. In December and January, I went through two rounds of chemo in Boston. After that, I moved my treatment to Philadelphia so I could stay with my sister, Teal. I’m just finishing up seven weeks of chemo and radiation now. Afterwards, I hope to go home to Cape Cod, to spend my remaining time with my pets, friends, and family.
Asking for help isn’t something that comes easily to me, but so many of you have reached out and asked how you can support me. This feels like the best way to let people help if they want to. I’ll need full-time, 24-hour care, which, as we all know, isn’t something the healthcare system really covers.
I don’t know exactly what the next months will look like, but I do know how much it means to feel supported. Anything you’re able to give—whether that’s a donation, sharing this, or just reaching out—really does make a difference. Thank you for being here for me.
Love
