Hello all.

Mike Heningan has been my best friend since I don't know when.

We've been through a lot both, positive and negative.

We even share a birthday.

So we are birthday buddies, for as long as I can remember.

But now, his is dying.

Unfortunately

we're not able to see him without any monetary help.

Because of our ' me & my beloved wife ' financial situation.

I just got a job recently, after being out of work for nearly a year.

But recently my health has taken a turn.

Consequently, I haven't been at work as much as I wish.

That's one reason why we are not able to go without help.

The other reason, is my wife only has a part-time job. She works as much as she can and is still looking for work. But sadly without much success, so far.

What we would like to do

Is to see our friend one last time and kinda surprise his husband too.

" if you know Mike's husband, please don't tell him about this "

As in, we would like to get his husband and our gaming buddies/friends together on a Monday and just talk about him.

The reason is because , Mike usually would go to Jason's deli near Atlanta on Monday's and play board games with us.

While his husband ' not much of a gamer '

would just hang out and just enjoy the company.

So that being said,

Our budget is as follows:

1, Getting to Atlanta and back.

We only share one car and unfortunately that car isn't the best for traveling for long distances.

It's an 8-hour drive to and from the Orlando area

So we we're going to use a car sharing company called turo to rent a car.

Is the cheapest way to get to and from where we need to be.

The cost of that would be about $300 including gas etc, round trip.

2, A place to stay.

We have found a decent place to stay for two nights, using my wife's hotel discount.

That cost would be about $200 including incidentals

3, The cost of everything else

We would like to make a donation to Mike's favorite charity in honor of his birthday.

Also we were thinking doing donations at the event or something like it.

If nothing else I've added another $100 for that reason.

In closing

If you can help us out, from making in a donation to spreading the word.

We would greatly appreciate it and we would to our best to pay it forward in future.

We know that there's a strong possibility of this not happening anytime soon.

But at least we trying on here and seeing what we can do to help out a friend in need.
