My mother-in-law needs a new HVAC system as her compressor has gone out. The estimated total is $5,000 to fix it. With being on a fixed income and already being over budget each month, this is something she cannot afford. Without a new HVAC system, she will be forced to place her pets in different homes as it gets way too hot for them inside the house with no AC. She does have multiple fans running to cool her home and it does not help. She has reached out to the county with zero luck. Right now, the county does not have funding until at least July. Even then, she is not guaranteed an application.
