Laying my husband to rest
On May 1, 2023, at 1;45 I lost my best friend and the love of my life due to a tractor-trailer accident on hwy 11 in martin county NC. That day has forever changed my life and the world has lost the most loving man I have ever come to know. David was the only one who could ever make me smile, even in the darkest of times. I honestly never thought that I or his family would ever have to feel the sudden loss and heavy hearts we feel right now. He was born in Jalisco, Mexico, and immigrated to the country when he was about nine years old. his new home being in san antonio texas; at 18 he knew he wanted to serve the country that gave him a home. As a Navy Veteran and served his second home loyally and without a second thought. He served 3 back to back tours, became an instructor for water survival, and then went on to try and make a life outside of the military. we both met while working at Norfolk naval station in the civilian sector. We were both so scared to say something to each other for almost a year. I took a step to introduce myself and little did I know that at that moment I would be giving away my whole heart to a man I had just really met. We fell head over heels in love and we both knew that we were meant to be. we married within three months and never regretted a single day. January 23 2023 was our five-year anniversary. I miss him every second of the day, On May 1st I lost the love of my life. I'm raising money to help with funeral expenses and transportation to Ft. Sam Huston national cemetery to be laid to rest with honors and flight for me and my child to attend the funeral with his family. Thank you to all those that can donate and if you can't afford to please keep his family in your prayers, right now anything helps.
