To those of you who don't know me my name is Brandii. In October of 2019, my husband of 5 months got me to get in my car under the pretense of driving home and talking during an argument and instead took me onto the highway and drove from Jacksonville, FL to a little past Woodbine, GA. Before we crossed state lines I called 911 and they had officers in the area waiting to commence a stop. When they finally started perusing our vehicle he refused to stop and instead began a high speed chase that ended in them deploying a speed strip and ramming the rear passenger wheel well to stop the vehicle. My husband then proceeded to fight the officers and finally they got him subdued and arrested him. In April of 2021, he was finally charged with Felony False Imprisonment, resisting arrest, and several other charges. His probation terms finally gave me enough protection (the abuse continued while he was out on bond until sentencing) I needed to get somewhere safe with my son. I filed for divorce at the end of last year/beginning of this year and needed a lawyer due to the criminal charges and wanting to make sure I could protect myself and my son. I only have the final hearing left, but I recently discovered that it will not be scheduled until the remaining balance of $1800 is paid to my lawyer. Any donations towards this would be greatly appreciated and payments can be called in to Chana Watson in Cross City as well.

The remaining 800 of my goal is to try to get my car running again. I am currently trying to sell the one that just broke down on me again on the 11th of July for at least 900 which will be deducted from the goal when it sells but I need transportation ASAP for my sons therapy appointments and doctors. Parts are currently coming out to about $600 and tires are around 200 for used, anything over that amount will be used for the odds and ends such as oil, insurance, gas, etc.
