The financial decision to pay legal bills kept Kyla's daughter and her safe. Assistance to be able to recover from these events would put her in a better financial position to be able to pay for further legal costs.

- $1000 in legal fees to another law office
- Not feeling able to safely access her home
- Replacing necessities while displaced
- Time off of work to deal with legal issues and temporary relocation
- Time off of work for court
- Printing fees at court clerk's office
- Paying to access court documents
- Filing fees
- Witness fees
- Review fees (limited representation)
- Late fees on bills because legal costs were due immediately
