Legal Fees Against AMR
The four of us are being sued by Adam Merkel of Adam Merkel Restaurants, who owns Diamonds Seafood & Steak (in Howell & Royal Oak), Cello Italian Restaurant, The Silver Pig & Pinky's Rooftop. He is claiming we caused him $25,000 in damages by posting our personal experiences and screenshots of how the company treated us online. He is trying to claim this during a pandemic and with a closed dining room.
The four of us would like to combine forces and ensure we are safe from this lawsuit. Everything we posted we were able to back up and we should have every right to do so. At no point did any former employee sign anything saying we mustn't share our experiences or opinions about the company on social media.
For some of us, we are in very rough situations. Anything you can or would be willing to donate is appreciated more than words can describe. We are finding a silver lining by giving countless former employees a voice and exposing this downtown Howell concept for what it is.

We have never had to get lawyers so we weren't sure what to ask for. If we exceed what is necessary to fight this the four of us have decided to donate the remaining to Howell Downtown, a local non-profit that does PHENOMENAL work! 💕
