I am writing to tell you about a wonderful organization that I will be interning with for at least one year, starting this August. While I was attending Elim Bible Institute & College over the past three years, I heard the Lord call me to become involved in a ministry called Oasis of Hope. This is a ministry dedicated to restoring the lives of women, ages 18-35, who were forced into sex trafficking. Men, women, boys, and girls are all being sold, and it's happening right here in the United States. 70% of those trafficked are females, and 50% are innocent children. The average age of a girl sold into sex trafficking is 13 years old. 32 billion dollars is being generated in annual profit. Sex trafficking is the world's 3rd largest illegal market. Between 14,500 and 17,500 foreign nationals are being trafficked into America. Those trafficked are being exploited, beaten, raped, hidden, deceived, isolated, threatened, abused, coerced, and murdered.

At Oasis of Hope, I will be working alongside and living with the victims of trafficking. Our mission will be to restore the lives of these women that have been broken and shattered by the horrific events that took place in their life. I will be doing life with the women, teaching/helping them to learn how to cook and clean. I will be driving them to counseling visits and helping them to learn a variety of life skills. Two other interns and I will be a support to one another as we share duties and daily devotions with the ladies that live in the home. We will provide spiritual and holistic healing to each victim that comes our way.

I know it will be hard, and many times challenging, to work with these ladies, but I know that the Lord has called me to be involved in this ministry. Since the Lord has called me to be a part of this ministry, He will enable me to stand strong. I believe it will be a growing, stretching, and immense learning experience.

In order to be an intern at Oasis, I will need to raise my own prayer and financial support. To do this, I am asking if you would prayerfully consider supporting me either by way of a one time gift of $25, $50, $100 or $500 dollars, or a monthly gift of $20, $25, or $30 dollars. Any amount you chose to give will be a blessing to me and to those I have the privilege of serving. In total, I have to raise $6,000 dollars for the year that I am interning with Oasis. I am so excited to see the transformation in me as well. I cannot wait to see the growth that takes place in each of their lives as well as my own and to see how much God moves in and through this ministry.
