Hi, I'm Leo's first cousin Julie. I am in charge of taking care of Leo's funeral costs. I have received many donations from family and friends but still need approximately $8000 to cover the remaining costs. I wish I could take care of it myself, but I'm unable to. I do not like asking for help but know it is necessary to take care of the cost remaining to the funeral home. If you can help with these costs, it would be greatly appreciated!

Leo had some health issues with his diabetes and suffered a stroke to his spinal cord at the T-4-8 level. This stroke caused paralysis, which then caused a car accident, where he was injured and brought to the hospital in Sioux Falls, SD. He was in the hospital for many months and then went to a nursing home in hopes that he could recover and learn many skills to live more independently. Unfortunately, he suffered pneumonia and had some ulcers that kept him from healing. His heart and lungs lost strength and finally gave out.

Leo lost his father at a young age. He grew up with his mother, Sandy and Brother, Sam. Sam and Sandy died two weeks apart in 2014. Leo missed them terribly! Now Leo has gone to his heavenly home where he can be with Jesus and his parents, brother, and many others who have gone before. He no longer suffers any pains or struggles in this world.
