I never imagined I would be writing something like this, but life after cancer has been harder than I expected.

I completed treatment for breast cancer and have been doing everything I can to rebuild. While I’m incredibly grateful to have finished treatment, the financial impact didn’t end when the medical appointments did. Between medical costs, losing my job due to time off work, and trying to catch up on bills, I’ve been in a constant cycle of playing catch-up.

Recently, I had to withdraw from my 401k just to stay afloat. That decision came with early withdrawal penalties, which significantly reduced the tax refund I was counting on to stabilize things. Because of that shortfall, I am now unable to pay my rent and have even missed important medical follow-up appointments trying to make ends meet.

This is not easy to share. I am a survivor and mother to 3 beautiful children and I have always worked hard to handle things on my own. But right now, I need help bridging this gap so I can stay housed, get back to my medical appointments, and continue rebuilding without falling further behind.

I am seeking support to cover my current rent and prevent eviction this week while I secure additional assistance and get back on stable footing.
