Life is Like a Movie
Our 6th concert, Life is Like a Movie, is Saturday, September 28th and Sunday, September 29th at Washington High School, and we are asking for donations to help pay for the costs of our show (costumes, props, promotional materials, company members show pay, venue, lighting designer, and videographer, etc). These costs can easily be several thousand dollars, and we rely on donations and my own personal income to fund the show.
I'm Kayley Thompson the director of ClassicalFusionDance, a dance company based in Phoenix, Arizona. As a choreographer, I enjoy creating movement inspired by themes or stories based on personal experiences, films, or from the music itself. It boosts my creative process and presents a world to me with different characters and stories to be told. My love for the past (dance. film, music, pop culture) is also very much part of who I am as a choreographer. I wanted to share my choreographic voice with the world and combine both the past and the present in unique stories and experiences for everyone to enjoy, and that's why I have created ClassicalFusionDance. CFD has 16 company members at the professional and pre-professional level, and was founded in 2016. Our pieces are not limited to a style or genre of dance, and our company members have trained under some of the best master teachers and choreographers in the nation. If you like what you see, please donate to our company. Anything that you can give will help us out!
