Lindsey was diagnosed with a Stage 3 Astrocytoma on January 12, 2021, which in short means brain cancer. She is only 30 years old. She has already had 2 brain surgeries. The last surgery they removed part of the tumor but was not able to extract it all. She will require chemo, radiation and follow up CT Scans and MRI's. Her insurance ran out January 31st. She has applied for COBRA, disability, unemployment but unfortunately we are having to wait for approval and paperwork to be done. She has not worked since January 11. 2021. She was supposed to have started a new job but has not been able to do so. She had to give up her apartment in Carrollton and is now living at home with us but still has expenses, such as car payment, car insurance and phone bill and other miscellaneous things that come up as well as the office visits and medications. I can only help so much.

We debated on whether to do a fund me program but we have had a few people ask about how to help and seeing as how we will not be able to afford to pay for office visits and consults until help gets approved, if it even does, my friend Melissa suggested this platform. She tried to set up the account for me but my goober self didn't fill out something right and can't get back to the correct place to fix it so here we are. If you would prefer to give through another way, such as Paypal, Cash App, Venmo that is also an option, I know a lot of people don't like these types of things. We are also going to be selling T shirts, stickers and keychains I do believe. Just have to get things together. I pray to God something kicks in that will help pay for the office visits, chemo, radiation and medications before she starts. We do have her first appointment with the oncologist and radiation oncologist on Wednesday. Not sure when she will be able to start, I think 4 weeks from her last surgery, which was January 26th.
