Elizabeth had ignored her fibromyalgia symptoms for years, until she couldn't. When she threw out her back in July 2024, it triggered debilitating chronic pain that has left her disabled with excruciating nerve pain, spasms that could cause her to faint, and significant reduced mobility. Elizabeth is a transgender Appalachian woman of faith and she currently has a disability lawyer on the case!

However, it could take 6 to 8 months just to have a hearing. Elizabeth hasn't had any income coming in since the back injury, and she has been solely relying on mutual aid.
