Our dear beloved Loon is dead and we're throwing her a party. She requested not to have a traditional memorial but she always encouraged us to be together. Anyone who knew her knew what it was like to dance and sing and laugh until your face hurt, to have dinner together and read poems aloud and pray and joke at the same time, to happily labor and fight side by side, and now we have to keep doing it.

She instructed us to "dance with your loved ones, break bread, embrace!" and "to make love. to find joy, and build a better world! to fill the void with laughter and creativity! heal the wounds of our mother earth! treat her with respect! water her garden! embrace those you love! kiss their faces! hold their hands! make bonds of friendship and care like the world has never seen! love and take care of each other and this earth in unimaginably sincere, profound and new ways!"

Known by many names in different eras and places, she has friends and comrades spread across turtle island and further that want to gather and celebrate her. Funds will be used for her loved ones who need help traveling to be together in grief.

Additional funds will be donated to Loon's dear friend and comrade for their ongoing recovery from the accident, as well as friends and family supporting them through this time.
