Loss Of My Mother
I am an immigrant trans woman in urgent need of help to travel to NYC with chosen family to grief the loss of my mother.
My mom passed away last week on Friday 8/28. Because of transphobia and severe alienating behavior from my family as well as my own health battles, I was unable to be there for my mother’s funeral or see her before she passed 💔
I am disabled and chronically ill, I need funds to travel from LA to NYC with two supportive chosen family members to visit my mother’s resting place and honor her with ceremony. I also need to see my elderly father whose health is also in decline. A few years after I fled my home country, my parents fled their home in 2012, because of the dictatorship and war, and became refugees in NYC.
Every penny would go a long way in supporting this grief journey.
The funds will cover travels, accommodation, food, and transportation.
