Hi, my name is Brian and I’m reaching out for support during an incredibly difficult time. After dedicating five years to my job, I was abruptly let go without warning or cause. When I asked why, I was simply told, “It’s a right-to-work state—good luck out there.”

To make matters worse, my former employer enforced a strict 12-month non-compete clause, preventing me from working in the only industry I’ve ever known. If I try to take a job with a competitor, they’ve made it clear they will sue me.

With inflation making it hard to save while I was employed, I now find myself struggling to cover essential expenses—keeping a roof over my family’s head, putting food on the table, and making it through these tough times.
