Transplant surgery
Kimberly Harris is in need of a new kidney. However, this is not Kim's first rodeo. She had her first transplant when she was 20 years old. When she was 33 , she found out she had breast cancer. She has been in remission for 14years now. In 2020 Kim found out her donor kidney was failing. She has been on dialysis ever since. Kim, along with high school friend Rose Gennaro, joined the paired donor program in 2023. In May of 2024 they received the news that a paired match had been found. After many tests, Rose was approved in August to donate. Surgery is scheduled for Sept. 25th. Kim will be out of work for up to 3 months and Rose will be out of work for up to 6 weeks. This fundraiser is to help with lost wages for both Rose and Kim.
