My name is Angel Felix from Las Vegas, NV. My sister Christine and I have a chihuahua/spaniel mix named Lady. She is five years old.

Occasionally, she loses use of her hind legs. Last fall, Lady had started dragging her hind legs. The vet said last year that Lady had a degenerative condition with her hips. At that time, my sister was able to massage Lady's hind legs. And over the course of a few days, Lady was walking normally again. 

Unfortunately, last week, Lady has been dragging her hind legs again. During Lady's vet visit, the vet had informed my sister that Lady has a slipped disk. (A different diagnosis by a different vet, but loss of hind legs nonetheless).  

We were given instructions to not allow Lady to on pavement or any hard surfaces. However, to not allow Lady, or any dog for that matter, to walk is inhumane.  

My sister and I would like to purchase a Walkin' Wheels Dog Wheelchair (Amazon listed price is $249.00) to assist Lady to walk when her hind legs act up. Since last Monday, November 30th and through the writing of this email, Lady is still dragging her legs. We are due to bring Lady for a follow up visit this Thursday, December 10th.

We are reaching out for assistance so we can provide Lady her independence and a better quality of life while we inquire from our vet the next indicated treatment.
