Hello! My name is Lee Kenny. I am a senior student at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. My best friend, Madeline, is a junior studying English here at the University. I am raising money for her family as, on Monday (11/26), her mother was rushed to the hospital in danger of pulmonary aspiration. She was taken in an ambulance, which is already costly, and has been at the hospital since Monday, increasing her medical costs exponentially. This is a significant financial burden on the family as they are already dealing with medical bills for long-term medical problems. 

Madeline is one of the most truly wonderful people I have ever met--she's the kind of person who is always thinking of others (sometimes at the expense of her own needs), who cares for every living creature, whose empathy will one day change the world. At the University, she works with multiple organizations to prevent sexual assault, prevent child abuse, provide education for young girls, and build confidence in everyone around her. Her mother is an equally wonderful person who cares deeply for her family. These two women strive to put so much good in the world, and at the time of this financial, emotional, and physical crisis, it would be wonderful if we could do the same.

Currently, our hope is to raise money to assist in covering the cost of medical and ambulance bills for Madeline and her mother. It would be absolutely wonderful if we could cover the ambulance ride entirely, but our initial goal is $1000. Will you help us show them love?
