Lulu Pet insurance

Hi to the only way we are going to receive support I believe is through honesty. To start off me and my fiance are homeless, but working hard to get our housing voucher approved and pushed through. We had an apartment about 3 years ago and lost it during covid peak, and have not been able to easily bounce back. So at the time of living in our apartment we had my dog pepe a 13 year old chihuahua. The only reason I had him or was able to get him back I should say is because I showed great progress I. My everyday life with getting and Keeping a apartment as well as a job and vehicle and most of all Keeping sober. I had given Pepe to my family to care for few years prior when I was on the streets and at my worst! So to wrap up and keep things brief my sister and family discussed if it was a good time to return him to me and if I was worthy and they all agreed I was. So fast forward I have pepe my gf and our apartment and pepe seemed a bit lonely so we decided to get him a play mate/friend and rescue a dog from PACC. So along came Sassy! A long hair Chihuahua mixed. Boy she' was just precious we loved her so very much as did Pepe.. we had her a little less than a year before her tragic unexpected avoidable passing. Sassy got very sick so we had brought her to the vet a total of four times on the fourth time it was a different vet because we weren't getting answers from the first that the first second and third time all they did was basic tests to check her vitals and nothing more nor would they do anything more unless we had pet insurance. Thank goodness for my grandma who let us use her Care Credit which those three days came out to $850 and that is just for the basic must do protocol tests for when any dog or cat comes in. And then the fourth Clinic we brought her to took her in right away with major concern they took one look at her and do something wasn't right after further running the same tests the prior that ran they said she definitely has something wrong but they cannot go any farther without pay insurance or some sort of payment so when they finally got done with the quote it was for 9 days of care and that included all testing that needed done medications and any every and all other care required. So when they finally got the quote together the total cost for the 9 days was going to be 10,550. We obviously did not have that so Sasha called her family her brother to be exact and begged him with everything she had to please help in which he agreed but only to do day by day so for the first day the quote was 2,900 in which he put up for the first day. After all the testing was done turns out she had depleted all her white blood cells, had pneumonia and went septic! All of those things in which they said the first second and third visit to the other that should have been easily detected but because we did not have insurance they did not care enough to put any work or care into our sassy. So the vet said she had a 75% chance of living as long as she was in their care. That brought us great joy and Our Hope and Faith was partially restored that she would be okay. We had not even gone into the second day yet when we got a call at 2:00 a.m. saying that she went into cardiac arrest and passed away! We were absolutely devastated broken torn and did not know what we were going to do we had grown so greatly attached to this dog so quickly and loved her like we had had her forever and was so grateful for her and then just in the blink of an eye she was gone. If her brother had not been there she would have died a painful rough last few days of her life so we are forever grateful for him and what he did for us. Since then we adopted another dog because my fiance was so broken she saw no other way to replace the void then to get another one. So although I was against it I agreed and we got another one. Her name is Lulu and we have had her going on 3 years now. But when we got her from the get-go we have noticed that she is not 100% and we believe she has some underlying issues going on with her that we need to get checked out immediately and she has needed this care we believe since before we got her! But since we were on the streets and not currently working we cannot afford the thousands and thousands of dollars it would take to run the proper tests and to get her the care she needs so we are doing this fundraiser and hope that you all will be willing to help us get our pet insurance it is fairly cheap some of them have deductibles some of them do not we've done lots of research and found a couple that we find to be the best fit. And they range from 15 to $35 a month with and without deductibles so we are hoping to raise enough to pay for her insurance for 6 to 12 months in advance and begin getting her the care that she needs so desperately! Lulu has grown on our hearts so much and we love her with our everything she is our pride and joy and our baby girl - dog. And she is all we have left to remind us of sassy and unfortunately tragically Pepe rewind about a year. One night something was terribly wrong with me I was paralyzed in pain and could not move we were sleeping behind a check cashing place with Lulu and Pepe when my wife went to go and get boxes for us to sleep on that they snuck away to follow her and result getting hit by a car taking his life. I had had Pepe for 15 years and he was the absolute absolute best dog I had ever had and best dog anyone could ever ask for and I/ we miss him so so very much as does Lulu. So with all of the factors and we are terrified and have a phobia of another dog our Lulu being sick and the worst happening and we would like to be prepared for that or avoid that at all costs. Anything you could do to help towards that goal would greatly be appreciated and forever forever be held dearly and close to our hearts as well as well as lulu's your contributions. We cannot thank you enough for your help and ask anyone who can spare it to please do what you can to help us meet this goal every penny counts and is greatly appreciated and that is putting it lightly! Thank you so much have a blessed day and be safe and keep your pets that you love dearly held close and tight and never ever take your eyes off of them for one second for anything can happen at any point in time in just a blink of an eye! Much love all
